About

I joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Rutgers in September 2024. Before joining Rutgers, I was a Research Associate at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a CRCS Postdoctoral Fellow at the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), Harvard University. I earned my Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Automation (CSA), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) where I received the Best Thesis Prize from the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) 2021, Best Thesis Award from the Department of CSA, IISc (2020-2021), and a Google Ph.D. Fellowship (2016-2020).

Current Work

My current work focuses on tackling computational challenges and designing efficient solutions for complex decision-making problems, with a strong emphasis on fairness, robustness, and tackling resource limitations. My broad areas of interest include Algorithmic Game Theory, Optimization, and Machine Learning. In particular, I work on designing responsible algorithms spanning a range of problems in intervention planning, multi-agent learning (multi-armed bandit), incentive mechanisms, and two-sided markets arising from real-world scenarios like healthcare, education, recommendation, online crowd-sourcing, and dynamic pricing in transportation.
