This year’s lecturer is Kenneth B. Morris, Jr. Mr. Morris is the great-great-great grandson of Frederick Douglass and the great-great grandson of Booker T. Washington.  The great orator and abolitionist Frederick Douglass was the most photographed person in the 19^th century. Mr. Morris will lecture about Frederick Douglass‘ iconic image and the importance of visual documentation of African-American history and culture.  His lecture will tie in with our 2023 Black History Celebration theme which is “The Black Photographer: Our Image in Our Hands.”
