Corinne Castro is senior director for faculty diversity and institutional transformation, responsible for formalizing the institutional support mechanisms aimed at increasing the success and retention of underrepresented faculty at all ranks across Chancellor-led units. She supports the acheivement of strategic aims of  Presidential Faculty Diversity Initiative ensuring our efforts to recruit and retain our faculty our comprehensive and intentional. Prior to joining Rutgers University, Castro was an associate professor of sociology at Texas Lutheran University. She earned her doctorate in sociology and a graduate certificate in women’s studies from Temple University.
