About

Amy Rowe joined Rutgers in 2010 and is an Agriculture and Natural Resources County Agent for Essex and Passaic Counties. Her background is in water chemistry with a concentration on the fate and transport of contaminants. Amy has worked in stormwater management for more than 15 years and her outreach programming has focused on green infrastructure in urban environments and green jobs training programs. Recently, Amy has directed her efforts to food waste reduction and she provides programming for students, foodservice workers, and the general public. Amy was recently named the Assistant Director of Faculty Success for Rutgers Cooperative Extension.

Current Work

Currently, Amy is a co-coordinator for the statewide Rutgers Environmental Stewards program, is a coordinator for the Rutgers Master Gardener program, and is working on food waste reduction in New Jersey schools.
