Educational Workshops
Our interactive workshops are open to all Rutgers faculty & staff, and align with the university's mission of enhancing the excellence of ideas, innovation, civic debate and learning to build a community that respects and embraces the complexities of all of our parts.

Classroom Inclusivity Series
The Classroom Inclusivity Series aims to equip instructors with skills to promote engagement across the range of differences present in the classroom. Workshops or training sessions included within the series will address the following competencies:
- Competency 1: Understand and begin to address your and your students’ identities, biases, prejudices, and fears and the impact they have on learning and the classroom environment.
- Competency 2: Infuse inclusive teaching practices into your educational practices by course re-design or adopting new teaching activities.
- Competency 3: Ensure course content, web pages, activities, and assessments are accessible to all students.

Education as Disruption Intensive
The EAD Intensive is a hybrid event hosted by University Equity and Inclusion and the Diversity Education Network that provides an opportunity for students, staff, and faculty to take advantage of universitywide diversity education and bias prevention offerings. The Diversity Education Network is a university-wide network of units engaged in equity, access, diversity, inclusion, and justice capacity building.

Grapple and Grow
Engage deeply and wrestle with ideas that challenge your beliefs about difference.
Personal growth often occurs when we experience discomfort. When we avoid discomfort, we can stagnate and miss out on opportunities for learning and development. Discomfort offers us an opportunity to reexamine what we thought we knew (beliefs, habits, and perspectives).
