Carmen Castro

Carmen Castro is the director of Faculty Diversity Collaborative Programs. She is responsible for the administration of programs, projects, and other activities that support the mission of the FDC to foster diversity among the faculty and support institutional change efforts to promote inclusive sustaining academic community. For over 11 years, Carmen has served undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and faculty at Rutgers by supporting their growth and professional development through mentoring and other initiatives.
Prior to joining Rutgers, Carmen served as a senior administrator and constituent relations professional for a state legislative office. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Rutgers University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Adult and Continuing Education with a focus on Human Resources Development.
